FCIA Also Announces INCITS T11 has Completed the 128GFC Single-Lane Fibre Channel Performance Specification
MINNEAPOLIS - March 6, 2023 - PRLog -- Supporting continued advancement of the purpose-built, data center proven network infrastructure for storage, the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) today announced its 2023 Board of Directors. The 2023 FCIA Board of Directors includes four officers and four directors, each with deep expertise in the Fibre Channel industry.
"With their diverse and tested experience in technology roles, the directors of the FCIA board provide valuable direction and insight in promoting the continued growth of Fibre Channel for use in 2023 and beyond," said Mark Jones, President, FCIA. The Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) today announced that the INCITS/Fibre Channel Technical Committee has completed the Fibre Channel Physical Interface (FC-PI-8) standard specifications for 128GFC. The new standard has been forwarded to the International Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS) for publication. The completion of the 128GFC standard by the INCITS/Fibre Channel Technical Committee marks another successful milestone on the FCIA's Speed Roadmap.
