Spring Free EV, the financial technology company accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) through innovative fintech products, today announced two new executives are joining the team as cofounders.
Tenni Theurer joins Spring Free EV as CoFounder and Chief Product Officer, bringing 20+ years of
leadership experience in tech, media, telecom, and fintech companies including Yahoo, Verizon, Visa,
and IBM. Theurer previously served as GM and VP of Product at Yahoo, where she managed 130+
person teams and $1.6B/year businesses with over 300+ MAUs. She also served as Sr Business Leader
at Visa and launched their first digital wallet solution from conception to market with 50+ participating
issuers and 35+ merchant partners. Theurer will lead Spring Free EV's product expansion efforts.
“Spring Free EV presents an incredible opportunity to help people who want to make a difference for the
environment while also saving money by switching to an EV fleet with our new financial model," says
Tenni Theurer, CoFounder and Chief Product Officer at Spring Free EV. "It's not every day that I can
merge my passion for solving climate sustainability with my skills in product strategy, and with Spring Free
EV, I'm able to do both."
Visrin Vichit-Vadakan joins Spring Free EV as CoFounder and Head of Sales and Business
Development and is responsible for growing partnerships with fleet managers. Vichit-Vadakan brings
expertise in the automotive industry from her time at Tesla working in demand generation and sales
growth, and at Sunrun where she led solar financing product development from identifying market
opportunity to launch. With a degree in Earth Systems from Stanford University and a background in
climate technology, Vichit-Vadakan plans to lead strategic sales growth and support fleets as they make
the switch to sustainable EVs.
"It is a privilege to bring my knowledge and experience to Spring Free EV, especially at this moment in the
company's history when we have a prime opportunity for growing the business,” says Visrin
Vichit-Vadakan, CoFounder and Head of Business Development at Spring Free EV. "Spring Free EV has
a real opportunity to build a new asset class and I am ready to hit the ground running to provide better
options for fleet managers to drive sustainably and economically."
Reid Hoffman, Mark Pincus, Ev Williams, and other technology leaders are investors in Spring Free EV,
which was co-founded by rideshare pioneer Sunil Paul (CEO) and entrepreneurial investor Martin Lagod
(co-founder and strategic advisor) based on a vision for making the EV market more equitable. Now,
Spring Free EV is expanding its team to make it fast, easy, and affordable for fleet managers to add EVs
to their fleets through its new approach to EV financing. Spring Free EV's first-of-its-kind pay-per-mile
subscription model, the Mileage Purchase Agreement, is a financial product that reduces upfront costs for
drivers to switch to an EV and charges a fee per mile of use.
“Because transportation is the top source of emissions in the U.S., Spring Free EV is creating pragmatic
solutions to help drivers make the switch to EVs that help them save money and our planet,” says Sunil
Paul, CEO of Spring Free EV. “Tenni and Visrin are the exact leaders we need to reach our goal of
building more sustainable, economic transportation options.”
This news comes on the heels of Spring Free EV's partnership with Cox Automotive, the world's largest
automotive service provider, and HyreCar, a carsharing platform for ridesharing and delivery services.
Cox Automotive will help Spring Free EV accelerate the deployment of EVs for fleets by supplying
pre-owned EVs to enable the implementation of affordable financing on a national scale. HyreCar will help
Spring Free EV access more drivers with EVs for use in ridesharing, carsharing, rental, taxicab,
on-demand delivery and public works.
