Black Owned Fintech Launches Spending Ticker and Seal of Approval for a New Brand of Socially Conscious Consumer to Close the Racial Wealth Gap

By: PRLog

ATLANTA - July 6, 2022 - PRLog -- During Juneteenth, in the city of Tulsa, Friends of the Movement (FotM) Global partnered with Greenwood Chamber of Commerce to unveil the first ever Black Wall Street Spending Ticker and Seal of Approval in Tulsa, Oklahoma's Black Wall Street District.

FotM Global is a black-owned social Fintech company created to empower conscious consumers to vote with their wallets to bring about swift financial change and meaningful social impact. After George Floyd's murder, Dr. Charles Walker, Jr. recognized how financial technology could help close the wealth gap around the world. Having worked  for the past thirty years to help build the infrastructure to build generational wealth in the black community, he noticed that the overwhelming majority of the people marching during the protest were non-black. So, he wanted to honor and celebrate their being on the frontline of the effort to bring about social change. Friends of the Movement represents this new brand of conscious consumers whose goal is to leverage their combined annual spending power to support a custom built ecosystem of merchants that align with their causes and values. The black community spends $1.7 trillion dollars yet only 3% is spent with black businesses. The dollar stays in the black community for six (6) hours but is recirculated within the Asian community for 28 days. The Black Wall Street Spending Ticker and Seal of Approval is the first ever conscious consumption platform for the black community and their allies under FotM's Conscious Spending Index (CSI) that gives consumers the ability to identify, support, save, refer, track, report spending progress, and reward black and FotM merchants that support their community and values.

Just Imagine…Our Money United.  The "Our Money United Campaign" is the grassroots conscious spending campaign that includes the Black Wall Street Pledge that consumers and merchants take to spend a percentage of their income with black and FotM merchants and refer merchants and customers to join the Black Wall Street 4.0 Ecosystem.
