Grace Family Church, an organization that has been a growing piece of Tampa Bay since 1994, is on the road spreading their love this fall.
From August 5 through September 5, Grace is traveling around Tampa in their 1966 Volkswagen Bus. They are affectionately calling it their "Love Tour." The church has dedicated this time to showing love in local neighborhoods, doing random acts of kindness, and giving generous gifts, including a set of original neighborhood shirts representing Tampa's most iconic neighborhoods. They are traveling in their vintage bus to over 100 different locations, prepared with over 1,000 giveaways.
Founder and Lead Pastor, Craig Altman shared, "We are not just teaching and talking about love, we are actually taking it to the streets in hopes that people would feel loved."
In just the first 15 days, they have partnered with over 60 businesses, schools, and nonprofit organizations in Tampa. Those partnerships include their trip to the Santa Maria Mission Soup Kitchen to prepare over 150 hot meals, their stop at Fire Station 23 in Lutz to bring lunch to the firefighters and staff, as well as visits to schools all around Tampa with gifts and encouragement and even the remodeling and upkeep of a transition home in Ybor for recently incarcerated women.
The Love Tour concludes with a big finale event on Labor Day Weekend, September 4 and 5. All Grace Family Church locations will host live '70s bands and a costume contest. The Grand Prize Winner of their costume contest will be awarded a Disney Day Trip ($1,000 Value).
