Mo Collins to Receive 2024 PSICF Comedy Hall of Fame Award at Palm Springs International Comedy Festival

PALM SPRINGS, CA - September 11, 2024 - The Palm Springs International Comedy Festival (PSICF) is thrilled to announce that acclaimed comedian Mo Collins will be honored with the PSICF Comedy Hall of Fame Award at this year's festival, in recognition of her exceptional contributions to the world of comedy.

Previous PSICF Comedy Hall of Fame recipients include “Saturday Night Live” members Laraine Newman, Jon Lovitz, and writer Alan Zweibel.

PSICF President Paul Cruz expressed his excitement, “Mo is a fantastically gifted comedian, from her many beloved characters on 'MAD TV' to 'Parks and Rec,' and of course...her stand-out characters in the Judd Apatow films, we can't get enough of her!” He added, “MAD TV is an iconic show and we are excited to honor Mo and the cast this year.”

Mo has showcased her versatility with back-to-back guest lead roles on "Grey’s Anatomy,” along with ABC comedy "Not Dead Yet." For the past four years, she has been a series regular on the hit AMC series "Fear the Walking Dead," allowing her to display her dramatic range, a notable shift from her longstanding reputation as one of the funniest women in film/TV for over two decades.

From her nine-year run on "MAD TV" to her beloved role on "Parks & Rec," and her scene-stealing performances in "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and "Knocked Up," Mo Collins has consistently proven herself as a comedic powerhouse. Her impressive voice-over career further highlights her talent, including an Emmy nomination for her role in the Netflix series "F Is for Family."

The PSICF Comedy Hall of Fame Award ceremony will take place during the Palm Springs International Comedy Festival on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Hotel Zoso in Palm Springs, CA.
