Fiber Connect 2024 Attendees Earn Continuing Education Credits

Telecom professionals can expand knowledge at Fiber Broadband Association event and earn 10 CECs

The Fiber Broadband Association today announced that Fiber Connect 2024 attendees will now earn 10 BICSI Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for attending the event. BICSI’s CEC program is designed to maximize training resources in expanding knowledge while maintaining current credentials in an efficient manner. CECs from Fiber Connect 2024 will be posted on the BICSI website and will be valid for a two-year term.

Fiber Connect 2024 will be held July 28-31, 2024, in Nashville, Tenn., and includes sessions on deployment strategies, technical deep dives, public policy, network operations, a workforce development workshop and more. On Monday, July 29, FBA VP of Research and Workforce Development Deborah Kish will lead the “Pathways for Organizational Growth: Workforce Development, Retention, and Diversification” educational workshop—a strategic initiative to support employers in workforce development approaches that enable a certification pathway (like FBA’s Optical Telecom Installer Certification (OpTIC Path™) program) and meet BEAD funded expansion initiatives in fiber broadband deployments nationwide.

“Fiber Connect 2024 is more than an event; it's an investment in your career and a pathway to maintaining your expertise in the dynamic fiber optic industry,” said Todd Jackson, FBA Workforce Development Director. “With BICSI CEC recognition, you're guaranteed top-tier education that will help you stay ahead of the curve. This is your chance to network with industry leaders, explore the latest technologies, and gain the knowledge that sets you apart.”
