Airbyte Announces Industry-Leading 5,000 Data Connectors Built with No-Code Builder

Company named among industry key technologies, hires chief product officer

Airbyte, creators of the leading open-source data movement infrastructure, today announced a series of accomplishments and awards that again reinforce its standing as the largest and fastest-growing data movement community. With a focus on innovation, community engagement, and performance enhancement, Airbyte continues to revolutionize the way data is handled and processed across industries.

  • More than 5,000 data connectors, created by users with the Airbyte no-code builder, that are in active use;
  • Named among TechRadar by Devoteam key technologies for the second year as a top-tier choice for data-driven intelligence;
  • Revenues increasing by four times over the past six months;

Airbyte makes moving data easy and affordable across almost any source and destination, helping enterprises provide their users with access to the right data for analysis and decision-making. Airbyte has the largest data engineering contributor community – with more than 800 contributors – and the best tooling to build and maintain connectors.

The company also appointed Jonathan Whitney as chief product officer – bringing 20 years of experience in technology product development and strategy working previously at AppDynamics (acquired by Cisco), Bladelogic and BMC Software.

“We’re most proud of the adoption we’re seeing of our technology for moving data and that is reflected in the number of connectors created by the user community, as well as the healthy growth in our revenues,” said Michel Tricot, company co-founder and CEO. “Adding Jonathan to our executive team brings a wealth of experience to help us further define our growing product line and align with market needs.”

Last week, Airbyte announced an integration with DataStax that simplifies the process of building production-ready GenAI applications with structured and unstructured data by using Airbyte Cloud to ingest and vectorize data directly into the DataStax Astra DB vector database. Airbyte is the first company to build a bridge between data movement platforms and artificial intelligence (AI) now supporting six vector databases, in addition to unstructured data sources.

The week before, Airbyte introduced an open-source Python library, PyAirbyte, making it easy to move data with resources created and managed using code. Airbyte became the first in the industry to provide this capability for Python with such a large inventory of data connectors for the popular programming language among data engineers.

Earlier last month, Airbyte announced that it has achieved Elite tier partner status from Snowflake for its cloud-based data storage. In January, the company received the BigDATAwire Readers/Editors Choice Award – Big Data and AI Startup, which recognizes companies and products that have made a difference.
