KBRA Releases Report Assigning K1+ and AAA Ratings to Various San Diego Unified School District 2022 GO Bonds; Affirms Ratings for Parity Debt; Outlook Remains Stable

On September 8, 2022, KBRA assigned a short-term rating of K1+ to the following San Diego Unified School District (San Diego County, California) bonds:

  • 2022 General Obligation Bonds (Dedicated Unlimited Ad Valorem Property Tax Bonds) (Election of 2008, Series M-1) (Green Bonds) (Federally Taxable)
  • 2022 General Obligation Bonds (Dedicated Unlimited Ad Valorem Property Tax Bonds) (Election of 2012, Series O-1) (Green Bonds) (Federally Taxable)
  • 2022 General Obligation Bonds (Dedicated Unlimited Ad Valorem Property Tax Bonds) (Election of 2018, Series F-1) (Green Bonds) (Federally Taxable)

KBRA additionally assigned a long-term rating of AAA with a Stable Outlook to the following District bonds:

  • 2022 General Obligation Bonds (Dedicated Unlimited Ad Valorem Property Tax Bonds) (Election of 2008, Series M-2) (Green Bonds)
  • 2022 General Obligation Bonds (Dedicated Unlimited Ad Valorem Property Tax Bonds) (Election of 2012, Series O-2) (Green Bonds)
  • 2022 General Obligation Bonds (Dedicated Unlimited Ad Valorem Property Tax Bonds) (Election of 2018, Series F-2) (Green Bonds)
  • 2022 General Obligation Refunding Bonds (Dedicated Unlimited Ad Valorem Property Tax Bonds) (Election of 2012, Series ZR-2) (Green Bonds)
  • 2023 General Obligation Refunding Bonds (Dedicated Unlimited Ad Valorem Property Tax Bonds) (Election of 2012, Series ZR-3) (Green Bonds) (Forward Delivery)

Lastly, KBRA affirmed the long-term rating of AAA and maintained the Stable Outlook for the District’s outstanding KBRA-rated General Obligation Bonds.
