“Thrive” Award at CSCNT’s Red Tie Gala Celebrates the Charitable Organization’s Continued Support and Decades-long Commitment to Finding Cures for Women-related Cancers

For more than a decade, the Mary Kay Ash Foundation (MKAF) has proudly partnered with Cancer Support Community North Texas (CSCNT) in a shared commitment to provide support, resources and hope to those affected by cancer. In recognition of this long-standing partnership and MKAF’s decades-long investment in finding cures for women-related cancers, CSCNT awarded the charitable organization with the 2022 “Thrive” Award at its 2^nd annual Red Tie Gala held April 29 in Dallas.

Known for its iconic, welcoming red doors, CSCNT operates three clubhouses providing cancer-centered resources in Dallas, Tarrant and Collin counties. The leading non-profit is affiliated with Cancer Support Community, the largest professionally led nonprofit network of cancer support worldwide dedicated to ensuring no one faces cancer alone. Dr. Lucy Gildea, Chief Innovation Officer of Product and Science at Mary Kay Inc., serves on the CSCNT Board of Directors and accepted the award on behalf of the MKAF.

In 2022, CSCNT celebrated its 20^th anniversary of providing North Texas cancer patients and caregivers with a comforting place of refuge providing education, psychological support, networking, children’s programs, workshops and more – all free of charge. To date, the MKAF has awarded grants to CSCNT totaling $370,000.
