Baron & Budd Investigates Potential Defect in Certain Polaris Off-Road Vehicles, Including Particular Ranger and RZR Models

Lawsuits allege the engines of certain Polaris vehicles lack proper ventilation and heat shielding, and place dangerously combustible parts mere inches from the occupants

The national law firm Baron & Budd announced it is currently investigating claims regarding a potential defect in certain Polaris Ranger, Ace, and RZR off-road vehicles.

According to the plaintiffs in multiple lawsuits, Polaris knew these vehicles could overheat and possibly catch fire but, failed to notify consumers of fix the defect. Polaris was issued a record-breaking penalty of $27.25 million by the Consumer Product Safety Commission for failing to timely report defects and fire hazards in certain RZR and Ranger models.

Several people have been severely injured and at least three people have died when their Polaris vehicle suddenly caught fire.

“By failing to notify the public about the safety hazards of its off-road vehicles, Polaris has placed its customers at risk for serious injury and even death,” said Baron & Budd attorney, David Fernandes. “The owners of these vehicles need to know that they can hold Polaris accountable for their actions and we are here to help.”
