Arajet’s new routes connecting Quito and Guayaquil with Santo Domingo are part of the airline’s network growth as the new national carrier for the Dominican Republic, focused on providing Dominican travelers with new flight options, lower fares, and better service.

“By offering lower fares to the Dominican public we are now able to build and deliver affordable air travel to our guests. Their positive response is fueling Arajet’s rapid expansion. We have promised to revolutionize the skies of the region and want to make sure we fulfill those promises to our customers with our lowest fares. We are on course to deliver 19 routes connecting 11 countries across the Americas from our home base in Santo Domingo by the end of 2022,” said Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and Founder of Arajet.

Arajet is making history by connecting for the first time Santo Domingo with Quito through two weekly frequencies on Mondays and Fridays, and Guayaquil with flights on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Arajet currently offers non-stop service from Santo Domingo to:

  • Mexico City, Monterrey and Cancun, Mexico
  • San Salvador, El Salvador
  • San Jose, Costa Rica
  • Guatemala City, Guatemala
  • Lima, Peru
  • Cali, Barranquilla and Cartagena in Colombia
  • Saint Marteen, Aruba and Curacao in the Caribbean

Arajet started operations with five new Boeing 737MAX8 aircrafts, and the airline is planning to add 12 more over the next two years to serve new frequencies in Central, South America and the Caribbean, as well as 17 new destinations in the United States and two in Canada to support its expansion.

“We are connecting with people through a safe, accessible and service-oriented statement that is unique to the region. We are building an international brand that is loved by Dominicans and foreigners alike and recognized all around the Americas. And we are excited to bring our unique value proposal and service to the approximately two million Dominican diasporas living in the United States in the near future,” added Pacheco Méndez.

Arajet offers a base fare of US$120, the lowest in the region. The airline has already increased the number of routes and frequency to Guatemala, El Salvador and Mexico to better serve growing passenger demand.
