Based in New York, Najat brings more than a decade of operational and data science expertise in the Life Sciences sector and will provide strategic support and counsel to the firm’s investment teams and portfolio companies.

Najat has held senior leadership roles throughout her tenure at Johnson & Johnson and currently serves as Chief Data Science Officer and Global Head of Strategy & Operations at Janssen Research and Development, LLC where she is responsible for reimagining the discovery and development of medicines across all Janssen therapeutic areas. She also plays a key role in shaping the company’s Research & Development strategy, spanning key pipeline and portfolio decisions and new strategic initiatives. Najat is also the co-chair of J&J’s enterprise-wide Data Science Council which focuses on driving business impact and adoption of Data Science across the company.

She currently serves as a board member at the Alliance of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare (AAIH) and Co-Chair of the Johnson & Johnson Data Science Council. She received a B.A. in Chemistry and Electronics from Colgate University and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
