Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, invites Thais to visit OTOP CITY 2024 under the theme “Giving Happiness with Precious Gifts from Thai Wisdom”, the grandest event of the year where you will find the best products from One Tambon, One product. The Deputy Minister and Minister of Interior warmly interacted with visitors at the event. He also encouraged and invited Thais to support products from Thai wisdom as Thai craftsmanship, renowned for its uniqueness and quality, has been celebrated for generations. Each product has its own identity, leading to the development of the potential from past to present. These products will help drive the Thai economy into a creative economy from the hands of Thai wisdom.
On December 16, 2024, Mr. Syam Sirimongkol, Director General of the Community Development Department, joined in welcoming the Deputy Minister and Minister of Interior, emphasizing the awareness of the Community Development Department towards OTOP producers and entrepreneurs to create more income from selling products, as well as promoting and upgrading the grassroots economy to be stable, creating added value for community products and promoting marketing channels to reach communities throughout the country. The aim is to be able to create jobs, careers, and generate income for OTOP producers and entrepreneurs for a sustainable future.
OTOP CITY 2024 has various zones and activities, such as the exhibition zone in honor of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, the OTOP Trader zone from different provinces and OTOP Trader Thailand, the Health & SPA zone with health massages, relaxation massages and beauty massages, the exhibition zone of 3–5-star OTOP products that have been selected as the best One Tambon One Product of Thailand in 2023. There are over 1,800 booths and delicacies from all over Thailand in the OTOP Chuan Chim with more than 160 shops. There are also highlights such as the OTOP artist zone, displaying and selling products from OTOP artists who have preserved and passed down wisdom from past to present. OTOP Nawatwithi Community Tourism Zone and products in OTOP Nawatwithi Village Zone, Thai Fabrics Are Fun to Wear (Pa Thai Sai Hai Sanook), First Lady Zone, and there are also mini concerts from famous singers and artists to entertain including Tree Chainarong, Ryan Kajabandit, Tao Pusin, Paowalee, and Namm Ronnadet. Lucky draws with no less than 20 prizes every day are also presented and on the last day of the event, join in a chance to win the grand prize of gold worth over 400,000 baht.
The atmosphere within the event highlights the uniqueness of Thai local wisdom, showcasing the cultural identity of each region. Additionally, the vibrant end-of-year theme is filled with fun activities and exciting daily prizes. The OTOP CITY 2024 event will be held from December 14-22, 2024, at Challenger Hall 1-3, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province.
