EC-Council Announces Hall of Fame for Ethical Hackers

After receiving thousands of applications, EC-Council, the world's leading global ethical hacking certification body, has announced the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Hall of Fame of 2021, listed the 100 awardees across the globe.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM, May 13, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- EC-Council, the world's leading ethical hacking certification body, has announced the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Hall of Fame of 2021, listed the top 100 awardees across the globe. The Hall of Fame celebrates some of the most accomplished Certified Ethical Hackers, helping organizations with cybersecurity teams access the best talent worldwide and benchmark their teams' capability against the best in the industry.

The top 100 members of the CEH Hall of Fame of 2021 have been selected based on their professional achievements and community contributions. All EC-Council members holding a CEH certification with at least a 90% score were invited to apply. However, making it to the Hall of Fame required more than just passing the CEH exam. A selection committee carefully reviewed applications based on their accomplishments with a critical focus on their contribution to society, career transformation story, and role in the organization where they are employed.

"We believe that positive role models are extremely important in today's world and that our best and brightest CEH certification holders should be held up for others to emulate," said Jay Bavisi, CEO of EC-Council Group. "This program is all about highlighting the fact that experience and contribution to the industry are just as important as education excellence."

The 17-year-old Certified Ethical Hacker program has enthralled the cybersecurity community worldwide, gaining the respect and acceptance of various cyber-defense forces, and is recognized by the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, USAF, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), British National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), and many other elite defense bodies. About half of Fortune 500 enterprises have CEHs as part of their cybersecurity teams. Now in its 11th version, the CEH is still one of the most in-demand IT certifications in the world for 2021.

"I used the CEH knowledge to help uncover vulnerabilities in our platform. I also used the same knowledge to help review architecture designs for flaws prior to implementation. My recent accomplishments include building a secure IoT device management as a service platform in the cloud," said Brad Bitterman, Cybersecurity Lead at Lenovo, USA.

"As a Certified Ethical Hacker, I am comfortable testing and understanding attacks. And with great power comes great responsibility. It is our moral duty to continue learning, testing, trying hard, understanding, to help our customers, friends and families. I worked with CEH methodology and skills before trying to obtain the certification. I self-studied CND and then CEH. EC-Council trainings have been recognized during my professional interviews," said Natacha Bakir, the CEH Hall of Fame Awardee who works for HP, France.

Another awardee, Nikos Vrakas, Cloud Solution Specialist at IBM, Greece, said that "During the pandemic, I used my skills to highlight the importance of implementing secure remote access solutions to various companies. The amount of knowledge transferred through CEH is intriguing on its own. The hands-on engagements and the fact that you are exploiting real vulnerabilities arises your interest to try more, harder, and with more passion and dedication!"

Each awardee will receive a certificate of honor and a benefits package to attempt the Certified Penetration Tester Professional (CPENT) exam. To view the CEH Hall of Fame 2021 Awardees, visit https://www.eccouncil.org/ceh-hall-of-fame-winners-2021/.
