Item 8.01 Other Events.

On October 23, 2008, Cytokinetics, Incorporated issued a press release announcing that three posters containing data on GSK-923295, an inhibitor of centromere-associated protein E (CENP-E), and one poster containing data on SB-743921, an inhibitor of kinesin spindle protein (KSP), were presented at the 20th EORTC-NCI-AACR Symposium on Molecular Targets and Cancer Therapeutics held at the Geneva Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland.
