Item 8.01 Other Events.

On July 7, 2016, CVB Financial Corp. (the “Company”) announced the hiring of David F. Farnsworth as the new chief credit officer of the Company and its principal subsidiary, Citizens Business Bank. Mr. Farnsworth is expected to join the Company on July 18, 2016. A press release announcing the hiring of Mr. Farnsworth is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
