D.A. Davidson Adds Strategic New Team to its Taxable Fixed Income Business

Firm continues to add services for financial institution clients

D.A. Davidson & Co. announced today that it has enhanced its Fixed Income Capital Markets capabilities with the hiring of veteran financial professionals D.L. Auxier, Managing Director, Whole Loan Trading; Bryan Perlmutter, Senior Vice President, Whole Loan Sales; and Natalie Hofmeister, Associate Vice President, Transaction & Operations Manager, Whole Loans.

The hiring of the new Whole Loan Sales & Trading team bolsters the firm’s taxable fixed income capabilities and provides a new line of service dedicated to the firm’s financial institution clients. The team complements D.A. Davidson’s leading financial institutions expertise, which offers mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, capital raising solutions for both public and private institutions, debt issuance, brokered CD underwriting, wealth management and now loan trading.

“With the addition of D.L., Bryan and Natalie, D.A. Davidson truly provides a full suite of services for the depository balance sheet,” said Marc Dispense, President of D.A. Davidson Fixed Income Capital Markets. “Likewise, we are pleased to continue the growth of our taxable business lines under the leadership of Nick Licciardi.”

“Uncertainty surrounding the future direction of interest rates, decreased liquidity, a contracted mortgage market and recession fear provide a challenge for lenders and investors,” said Auxier. “The addition of our team allows D.A. Davidson to be uniquely positioned to provide solutions for the depository community. Our loan trading platform allows for transparent execution across a broad range of loan products assisting institutions in meeting their growth, risk management and earnings goals.”

Previously Auxier and Perlmutter were integral members of the loan sales and trading platforms at R.W. Baird and Brean Capital. Hofmeister joins D.A. Davidson from Rocket Mortgage where she managed the settlement process for their bulk/whole loan trading business.

D.A. Davidson & Co.’s Fixed Income Capital Markets group is a national leader in raising capital through fixed income banking, distribution and depository strategy. With 31 locations in 18 states, the group is consistently ranked among the top firms in the country. The fixed income team serves new issue clients in public finance and taxable debt issuance, and maintains a diverse sales and trading group interacting with taxable and tax-exempt investors including banks, credit unions, insurance companies, bond funds, money managers and trust companies.
