NASDAQ STOCK MARKET COMMUNITY BANK INVESTOR CONFERENCE

Riverside, Calif. - May 6, 2004 - Provident Financial Holdings, Inc. ("Company"), Nasdaq: PROV, the holding company for Provident Savings Bank, F.S.B., today announced that the Company will participate in the Community Bank Investor Conference hosted by America's Community Bankers and the NASDAQ Stock Market.
