Earnings Release: Monday, November 24, 2008, after 4:00 p.m. EST

Athens, Greece, November 13, 2008 - Star Bulk Carriers Corp. (NASDAQ:SBLK) announced today that it will release its results for the third quarter ending September 30, 2008, after the market closes in New York on Monday, November 24, 2008. Star Bulk's management team will host a conference call to discuss the Company's financial results on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. EST.
