Item 8.01 Other Events.

In connection with our previously disclosed litigation against Rainbow DBS Holdings, Inc. ("Rainbow Holdings"), on February 19, 2008, the Appellate Division, First Department, unanimously affirmed the final judgment of the Supreme Court of the State of New York awarding Loral Space & Communications Holdings Corporation damages in the total amount of $52 million and the court’s order denying Rainbow Holding’s motion to set aside the verdict or for a new trial. Rainbow Holdings has until March 21, 2008 to move for leave to appeal from the Court of Appeals or the Appellate Division.
