Item 8.01 Other Events.

On January 28, 2008, Merge Technologies Incorporated (the "Registrant") announced that it had previously received a written notification from the NASDAQ Listing and Hearing Review Council stating that the Council (the "Council") elected to review the decision of the NASDAQ Listing Qualifications Panel (the "Panel") regarding the Registrant's delay in filing certain securities filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. The Council determined, pending such review, to stay the decision of the Panel to suspend trading of the Registrant's securities.
