(b) On January 17, 2008, The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. ("The Hartford") announced that David M. Johnson, executive vice president and chief financial officer, intends to leave The Hartford. A copy of the press release relating to Mr. Johnson's planned departure from The Hartford is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.
