Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure

On March 11, 2010, Gastar Exploration Ltd. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it has rescheduled the release of its fourth quarter 2009 results to Monday, March 15, 2010 after the market closes. The Company has also rescheduled the related conference call to 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
