Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.

 

(b) On March 4, 2005, Terry Bassham, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, announced his resignation from El Paso Electric Company, effective as of March 18, 2005, to accept a similar position with another public utility company. Mr. Bassham’s resignation did not involve any disagreement with the Company relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices. The Company has not yet appointed a new principal financial officer.
