The Company was informed on 5 October 2005 by Michael Ashton, Chief Executive Officer of SkyePharma PLC, that on 4 October 2005 he
purchased 59,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company at a price of 42.5 pence per share. The shares are registered in the name of The M
Ashton Pension Scheme. As a result of the transaction Mr Ashton now has a beneficial interest in 570,369 Ordinary Shares in the
Company.
