RESTRUCTURING UPDATE
Release of Interim Security
London - 24 April 2003 - Further to its announcement on 22 April 2003, Marconi
plc ("plc") (MONI) announces that the interim security provided to Marconi's
principal lenders over cash held by Highrose Limited, a special purpose
subsidiary of Marconi Corporation plc ("Corp"), was released earlier today.
The scheme creditor meetings for Corp and plc are to be held on 25 April 2003
following which a further announcement will be made.
